Days arranged
around the light.
There is no schedule at Ternan, only a rhythm. Below, a few of the things our guests do — and a few they do not. Each is included unless marked otherwise.
A walk before the valley wakes.
A guided walk along the ridge with one of our team. Forty-five minutes, an hour, however long the morning holds you. Coffee, returned to.
Included · Most mornings · Optional

A long table.
Slow food on flame.
Three meals, taken at the table on the deck. Vegetables from the farms below, fish driven up from Kisumu, bread baked on coals. Wine, if you would like it.
Included · Three times daily · Dietary requests welcomed

Pool, tub, and the long afternoon.
The natural pool sits at the cliff edge. The fire-heated tub is ready by dusk. A pull-up bar, a bench, a sun-warmed plank — for those who like to move.
Included · All hours

A sky that arrives without warning.
No city light for forty kilometres. A telescope, kept by the door. A small fire in the pit. The Milky Way most clear nights — and a guide who can name the stars in three languages.
Included · Clear nights · Optional

The valley, by request.
A morning at the Fort Ternan archaeological site. Tea-garden walks in Kericho. A drive to Lake Victoria for sunset. We arrange privately on request.
By arrangement · Additional fee
